The We Will Chicago Mobile Team will conduct pop-up activities at community events around the city all throughout September and October. The artist-organizers will be at concerts, festivals, farmers markets, and neighborhood gatherings with a variety of activities to engage residents in thinking about what they want in a citywide plan.

Overview of program menu/activities

From interactive to introspective, a variety of options are available for giving input into a city plan:

1. OUR CITY PLAN game

In this interactive game, the group has to move one piece along the gameboard. At each step, the group must discuss and then choose between two different scenarios. The scenarios focus on the pillar issue corresponding to the color landed on, or it might be a Wild Card! The whole group must agree on which scenario to choose, or it cannot move forward. The final set of chosen scenarios make up the group's City Plan. Check out the Mobile Artist Team event schedule to play "Our City Plan" in person.

2. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD postcards

What are your dreams for Chicago? What do you love, and what do you want to change? Write a postcard to us with all your thoughts. You can fill one out right now! Take the survey below to share your thoughts.

3. WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR NEIGHBOR reflection station

What does it mean to be a neighbor? What does it mean to show up for a neighbor? Write a letter to your neighbor (real or imagined), and think about what you want your neighbors to know about you, what you want your neighbors to consider, and what you’re curious about of your neighbors. How does the identity of being a neighbor contribute to the collective energy of the city? Is being a neighbor important, why or why not? Select "Write a Letter" in grey below to submit a letter online.
